Applications
Central air conditioning and ventilating systems. It can be used as a pre filter in high efficiency system.

Construction
Filter media is a continuous glass fiber bonded together with a thermo-setting resin. The :Graded Weave" produces a relatively open face with a progressive denser media towards the leaving face. The less dense portion at the front provides greater dust holding capacity for the larger particles and the more dense portion at the back gives higher efficiency for the finer particles.


The frame is constructed using heavy gauge high wet strength fiber board (Chip Board) channel with metal support grid (Capscrap Retainer) each side having a large free area for effiective Filtration. On large sizes an extra stiffening support its positioned on the longest side.

High Performance Technology
Designed as a low cost replaceable cell filter. Can be used up to a maximum of 500 FPM without distortion.

Additional Information
Glass fiber pads can also be supplied on required sizes.

Design & Construction
The unique design and construction of the JA - TP filter justifies its world wide reputation as a high technology filter. Its precisely - controlled radial pleat design provides the aerodynamic configuration which contributes to JA - TP's low initial resistance and increased dust-holding capacity. The specially developed non- woven cotton media is bonded to 1" x 1" annealed wire grid with an effective open area of not less than 96%.

How to specify
Air filters shall be 1", 2" thick, medium efficiency pleated media, disposable type, specified by model no and size; JA-TP1 (1" thickness) , JA-TP2 (2" thickness) .

Filter Media
Shall be comprised of blend of non-woven cotton plus polyester, and shall have high dust holding capacity. JA-TP filters have an average dust spot efficiency of 25-30% with an average arrestance (efficiency by weight) of 90-92% according to ashrae 52 - 76 atmospheric testing procdure. The variances in efficiency (up to 5 points) are typical of filters in the medium efficiency category when tested in accordance with ashrae 52 - 76 standard.

Media Support Grid
Is a 1" x 1" annealed wire grid continuously bounded, to the filter media, with an effective open area of not less than 96%. The media & supporting wire Shall be pleated together to prevent media oscillation and pull away. In addition to this, the soft wire grid forms and maintains the unique radial configuration, to achieve maximum aerodynamic performance.

1" The effective media area shall not be less than 2.3 square feet per 1.0 square foot of face area and will contain not less than 16 pleats per linear foot. Initial resistance not to exceed 0.41 W.G. At 500 F.P.M.

2" The effective media area shall not be less than 4.6 square feet per 1.0 square foot of face area and shall contain not less than 15 pleats per linear foot. Initial resistance not exceed 0.23 W.G at 500 F.P.M.

Enclosing Frame
Is constructed of rigid, water-resistance beverage board, It has diagonal die-cut support members bonded to the air-entering and air-exiting side of each pleat, to ensure pleat stability and maintain spacing the inside periphery of the enclosing frame shall be bonded to the filter pack to eliminate air by-pass.

The JA-TP filter is completely factory assembled and is totally disposable
A. The filter pack is bonded to the enclosing frame - air by -pass is eliminated.
B. Media support grid bonded to media - 96% open area.
C. Non - Creased radial pleat design.
D. Enclosing frame is constructed of rigid high wet-strength beverage board. Diagonal support members maintain proper pleat spacing and increase pleat stability.
E. Non-Woven reinforced cotton and synthetic filter media.
